So I have a couple of preoccupations that fill my “free” time or the time at work where I’m avoiding work. One is completely fascinating, but probably totally morbid to some people. The other is so shallow and girly it’s sort of funny.
Ok, so I guess when the whole Natalee Holloway thing happened I got interested in this idea of people disappearing or meeting a bad end while they are on vacation or traveling to a place other than their home. So I started digging around and compiling a list of people that have disappeared OR met foul play during travels. I have recently started migrating this into a database on dabble db (which if you are into databases and shit you so need to check out. So this is still a work in progress, but I hope when I get it all sorted out and then start really leveraging some of the dabble features it will be pretty cool (like map of missing people and other cool stuff). So anyway, that’s the morbid.
The other thing I do a lot of is swapping, makeup that is. I’ve been using MakeUpAlley (MUA to those in the know) to find reviews of beauty products for a while, but then this summer I discovered that you can actually swap makeup and other beauty products on the site as well. It’s awesome because you can swap things to try before you shell out the cash for them. I <3 it big time.
